Madhya Pradesh has been receiving good rains from the last two to three days. As per Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to a Cyclonic Circulation which was persisting over Chhattisgarh and adjoining Northeast Madhya Pradesh.
However, the during last 24 hours intensity of rains have reduced over the eastern parts however one or two places received moderate to heavy rains.

In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Wednesday, Gwalior witnessed heavy rain of 63 mm. Bhopal received light rain of 12 mm, Sagar 20.4 mm, Umaria 9.3 mm, Bhopal 12 mm, Rewa 6.2 mm and Ujjain 3 mm.

Presently the Cyclonic Circulation has moved in the northerly direction and is now over central parts of Uttar Pradesh. We expect rains to reduce over most parts of the state while one two moderate spells may continue over North Madhya Pradesh.
Places like Gwalior, Datia, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Satna, and Siddhi will witness good rains. But rains will reduce significantly over western districts of Ujjain, Indore, Bhopal and khandwa.
Inspite of weak monsoon conditions on and off scattered showers can occur over eastern parts also. At present West Madhya Pradesh is rain deficient by 11 percent and East Madhya Pradesh is deficient by 13 percent.
