Currently, Odisha maintains a deficiency of 18% in terms of rainfall received during Monsoon. Over the next 2 to 3 days, a spell of good rains is expected to bring down rain deficiency over Odisha. The incoming spell may not wipe out the deficiency completely but it will do enough to bridge the gap to some extent.
Meanwhile, coastal Andhra Pradesh has recorded normal rainfall this season. Now, owing to the fresh spell of rain approaching the region, rainfall in the region is likely to go into excess.
As the intensity of rain over the region increases, pleasant weather conditions will continue to prevail over most parts of Odisha and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Temperatures are expected to settle at par or below normal, and these rains will bring some much-needed relief to the local populace.
