According to Skymet Weather, the offshore trough was active along the Maharashtra Coast up to Kerala. Due to which, heavy to very heavy rains were observed over most parts of Coastal Maharashtra. However, now, the trough is expected to weaken over the area and due to this, the intensity of rainfall over the Vidarbha and Konkan & Goa region including Mumbai is likely to reduce significantly.

The heavy spells that were showing up in the Konkan & Goa region will be replaced by moderate showers while Vidarbha will get to see some light spells. But rains will keep occurring over parts of the state. Meanwhile, Mumbai may continue to receive light to moderate showers but the rain intensity is likely to reduce after 48 hours.

Places such as Dahanu, Mumbai, and Ratnagiri may continue to record good Monsoon showers. While light rains are expected to occur over Pune, Kolhapur, Jalgaon, Satara, Sangli, and Sholapur. A few moderate spells cannot be ruled out over Gondia, Nagpur, and Amravati.
