The West coastal region of the country received moderate to heavy rain at many places and light rain at the remaining places in the last day. The weather across the West coast has become pleasant due to these hefty rainfall activities.

As per as per Skymet Weather, the off shore trough has once again become active along the southern region of the West Coast. While, is weak along the northern districts that lie in the west coastal region. At present, the trough is extending from coastal Karnataka to Kerala Coast. Hence rainfall has picked up pace over this region. In the last 24 hours, Southwest Monsoon remained vigorous over Kerala coast and active over interior regions of Kerala. Coastal Karnataka also witnessed light to moderate showers.
The vacation capital of the country, Goa witnessed normal Monsoon condition. Mumbai remained almost dry but scattered light rains were witnessed in patches. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Kozhikode recorded 81 mm of heavy rain, Alappuzha 42 mm, Mangalore 31 mm, Karwar 19 mm Cannur 15 mm, Ratnagiri 9 mm, Vengurla 7 mm, Cochin 18 mm, Matheran 5 mm, Mumbai 3 mm and Goa 11 mm.

It is anticipated that scattered light to moderate rains will continue over Konkan & Goa region that includes light spells in Mumbai. However, moderate to heavy rains are likely to continue over coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
