Today morning scattered rains occurred over eastern and northeastern parts of Delhi. Today we expect rain and thundershower activity to occur over some parts of Delhi and NCR by afternoon or evening hours. The rain intensity will increase further tomorrow and day after. On June 25 and 26 we expect moderate spells accompanied with a few heavy spells across Delhi and NCR leading to a significant decrease in temperatures. Also, the long-prevailing humidity and the resulting discomfort level is now expected to ease up as the rains arrive. Weather is expected to become comfortable and pleasant for the next two to three days due to intermittent rain and thundershower activities associated with cloudy to overcast sky. Cool breeze is expected to continue throughout the day.
So, Delhi is all set for a fresh Monsoon surge. This Monsoon surge will continue until July 26. Thereafter on July 27, we expect rain activities to decrease but isolated pockets of Delhi and NCR will continue with rain and thundershower activities. On and off light rains may continue until the end of July.
So, we can say that the next week is going to be much better in terms of rainfall activities as well as temperatures over the city. The ongoing sultry weather may make way for comfortable weather in the coming days. Thus, hot and humid weather bothering the residents is now set to fade away.
Delhi at present is running largely rain deficient. These rains may bring down the rain deficiency to some level. The prevailing rain deficiency is expected to fall significantly by the end of the month.
However, waterlogging and traffic jams will be on a rise and quite prevalent as soon as the rains appear.
