Good rains likely over Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Ambikapur

Both the states of Jharkhand as well as Chhattisgarh have had a good Monsoon run this season. These areas have recorded good spells of rain on several occasions. In fact, the last few days of July as well as the first few days of August have been good enough with these areas receiving light to moderate showers with isolated heavy spells.

Not only this, during this time frame, one or two cities in this region has also witnessed three-digit rains. In fact, the last 24 hours have also been rainy enough for the states. In fact, a few heavy spells have been recorded over the states as well.

In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, Jamshedpur recorded a whopping 62 mm of rain, Bokaro recorded 16.4 mm of rain, Chaibasa 25.3 mm, Daltonganj 7 mm, Ambikaour 28.4 mm, and Bilaspur 2.9 mm.

These weather conditions have been attributed to the eastern arm of the axis of the Monsoon trough which is running in proximity of the states of Jharkhand and northern parts of Chhattisgarh.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, both Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh will continue to witness good Monsoon rains in view of the prevailing weather feature. In fact, the possibility of heavy showers cannot be ruled out over these areas.
