At present, both the regions of Coastal Andhra Pradesh as well as Rayalaseema are running rain deficient. While Coastal Andhra Pradesh is rain deficient by 21%, Rayalaseema is running rain deficient by 22%.
During the last 24 hours, scattered light to moderate rains were observed over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, while isolated light rains were observed over Rayalaseema.
The next some days seem promising in terms of rainfall for the state. At present, a Cyclonic Circulation is persistent over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Also, a Low-Pressure Area is likely to develop over the region by tomorrow. Therefore, we expect rains to increase over coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next few days. Thus, good rains are likely over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next two to three days. The intensity of rains will be comparatively less over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. However, we do not expect much rain activities over Rayalaseema.
The rains are expected to decrease by July 28 over entire Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, scattered rains will continue to make an appearance over North coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Thus, rain deficiency is now expected to decrease over coastal Andhra Pradesh however, Rayalaseema will continue to reel under a rain deficient state.
