A cyclonic circulation can be seen over West Madhya Pradesh and adjoining EastRajasthan. Another cyclonic circulation can be seen over Marathwada as well. Additionally, a trough is also seen from West Madhya Pradesh to Marathwada between these two systems.
At present, WestMadhya Pradeshstands at a rain surplus of 46 percent while East Madhya Pradesh is rain excess by 48 percent.
South and West Madhya Pradesh are expected to receive much heavier rain activities. These rains are likely to continue till July 28. Henceforth, by July 29, rain-belt is expected to move towards North Madhya Pradesh and places likeGuna, Gwalior andShivpurimight receive good rainfall.

Axis of Monsoon trough is also passing through Madhya Pradesh via Shivpuri and Damaoh. Due to the combined effect of these weather systems, moderate to heavy rains are a possibility at many places over the state.
It can be stated that Madhya Pradesh is the rainiest state till date across the country. Moreover, good rains are also predicted for next few days which would probably increase the percentage of rain surplus over the state.
