On and off light rain is presently occurring over the state of Odisha. During the same time frame, Coastal Andhra Pradesh has recorded intermittent light to moderate showers, while Rayalaseema received moderate rains with few heavy spells.
In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Tuesday, Tirupathi witnessed rains to the tune of 78 mm, Anantapur 38 mm, Keonjhargarh24 mm, Pulbani 11 mm,Nellore8 mm, Titlagarh5 mm,Puri 2 mm Paradip 1 mm andJharsuguda0.5 mm of rain.

As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha Coast and a trough is also extending from this weather system up to North Kerala across Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.
In wake of these combined weather systems, we expect light to moderate rain to continue over many parts of Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. In fact, Rayalaseema is likely to see a few heavy spells for 24 to 48 hours.
Thereafter, the rain intensity may increase over Odisha. Along with the light to moderate showers, few heavy spells are also expected until October 10 or 11 over the state.

The increase in rainfall activity will be due to the intensification of the cyclonic circulation and its movement towards Interior Odisha. The maximum and minimum temperatures may reduce by 2 – 3°C. The weather will be comfortable and the sky will remain cloudy to overcast.
Contrary to this, the rain intensity over entire Andhra Pradesh is likely to reduce but light rain may continue over few parts. The sky will remain partly cloudy, with warm days and comfortable nights.
