After being hot and humid in the city of Bengaluru, the rain gods decided to give the residents a treat. The city was observing above normal temperatures and humidity levels were also sky high. However, for the past two days, weather conditions during the afternoon hours have been cloudy.
While isolated showers were recorded over parts of the city on Saturday and Sunday, yesterday was quite a rainy affair for the garden city of India. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, the Bangalore Airport recorded a good 15 mm of rainfall. The city, on the other hand, witnessed 12.6 mm of rainfall.
A trough is extending from Telangana to Interior Karnataka, due to this, good rains were recorded over the region.
Now, some rainfall activity is expected to take place today as well. Due to the persisting trough, humidity levels may further increase over the region. Rise in temperatures is expected over the region. During the late afternoon and evening hours, cloud formation is expected in some parts of the city resulting in spot rain over some areas.
As far as the temperatures are concerned, while only marginal drop is expected, some relief in the form of pleasant weather will prevail during the evening hours.
