Northeast Monsoon remained active to vigorous over several districts in Tamil Nadu however, the intensity of Northeast Monsoon over the state of Karnataka was comparatively on the lower side. During the last 24 hours, the intensity of rains was lesser over the coastal belt of Karnataka in contrast with rains in South Interior districts of the state.
A few places in the state did record isolated rainy spells. While coastal and North Interior Karnataka continued to witness dry and warm weather.
Within a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, the state capital, Bengaluru merely recorded traces of rain. Whereas Chintamani recorded rainfall to the tune of 2 mm.

As of now also, isolated rainy spells are likely to continue at few places over Karnataka and adjoining areas during the next 24 hours.
As northeasterly and easterly winds are blowing over the state, the intensity of these rain and thundershowers are expected to increase significantly over South Interior districts of Karnataka such as over Bengaluru, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru, and Tumkur after 24 hours.
Thereafter, from November 2 to November 7, light to moderate rain and thundershower activities are anticipated to continue over many parts of the aforementioned regions.

However, heavy showers are not likely to make an appearance during this period. In addition, pleasant weather will prevail in many places over South Interior Karnataka including over the IT Hub, Bengaluru.
On the other hand, Coastal and North Interior districts of the state will continue to reel under warm and dry weather conditions for next few days.
