Good rains in Northeast India for coming few days

Northeast India has been seeing good rains for the past few days. As of now, the monsoon trough is running North of its normal position along the foothills and thus the Northeast region continues to receive good rainfall activity in this period.

Now also, the Northeast region is likely to continue seeing good rainfall activities in the coming three days. In fact, the possibility of a few heavy spells in some regions of Northeast India during the coming days cannot be ruled out.

Northern half of Northeast India including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh may be seeing more rains as compared to the other parts of the region. Thereafter, a Cyclonic Circulation may come up around September 6, where the trough may shift around that time southward, then the situation may change with reduction in rains.
