The southern parts of Gujarat have been receiving good Monsoon rains since last many days. This is the reason that people residing in the southern districts of the state are experiencing comfortable weather conditions in contrast with the population residing in the northwestern districts of Gujarat.
The temperatures across the southern region of Gujarat are settling beneath the 35-degree mark while they are beyond this limit in the northwestern areas of the state.
In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Ahmedabad recorded heavy rainfall of 48 mm, Kandla 8.5 mm, Baroda 5.2 mm, Deesa 1.6 mm and Surat 1.3 mm.
These weather conditions can be attributed to a trough which was seen extending from East Arabian Sea off Karnataka up to South of Gujarat Coast. Also, a fresh cyclonic circulation can be marked over East Arabian Sea and adjoining Konkan region. Now, a trough is seen running from South of Gujarat Coast.
Therefore, due to these weather systems, isolated spells of moderate rains are expected to continue over several parts of South Coastal stations of Gujarat such as Surat, Valsad, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Mahuva.
