Good rains continue in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh sees drop in rainfall

The cyclonic circulation which is persisting over Odisha and neighborhood is instrumental for giving moderate to heavy rains over many parts of Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh.

The trough from this cyclonic circulation is extending up to East Uttar Pradesh that is why many areas received good rains. Now this trough has shifted towards East and will be running from Odisha to Bihar. So we expect that rain intensity over Uttar Pradesh will reduce significantly.

However light scattered rains may continue but good rains are expected to continue over most parts of Bihar for next 24 hours. Thereafter light to moderate rains will occur over East Bihar and it will continue for next 3-4 days. So we can say weather of Uttar Pradesh will once again go dry after 24 hours but Bihar will continue with good rains.

During Southwest Monsoon, Bihar received slightly less rain with 3% less than the normal rainfall.

But October is turning out to be very good in terms of rainfall but these rains are not beneficial for the Kharif crops which are ready for the harvest. Even though in many districts of Bihar, harvesting is over but there are many districts where Kharif crop is still prevailing and can get damage.
