Northeast India has been witnessing some light to moderate rainfall in the past 24 hours. In fact, more rainfall activity is in store for the entire Northeast Indian region including the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh.
In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, Haflong recorded 5 mm of rainfall, Imphal 4 mm, Barapani 4 mm, and Pet Jorhat 2 mm.
Rainfall activity will increase over Northeast India starting today. Rainfall will be at its peak tomorrow and day after tomorrow. These rainfall activities will remain light to moderate in nature and none of the areas are expected to receive heavy rainfall during this period.
After March 26, rains will cease over north-east India and weather is expected to once again go on the drier side for sometime at least.
