During the last 24 hours, southern and eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh have received light to moderate rains and thundershowers at many places. Also a few places saw heavy showers. While Hoshangabad received 23 mm rains, Seoni 59 mm, Mandla 9 mm and Khandwa recorded 11 mm.
The sky conditions were cloudy to overcast throughout the period. Though northern and western parts of Madhya Pradesh remained dry. The day was comfortable and slightly warm while night remained pleasant.
These weather conditions have occurred due to the presence of a Cyclonic Circulation over Eastern and central parts of Madhya Pradesh. In association with this system an anti-cyclone is also persisting over northern parts of Bay of Bengal which is providing moisture feed over Eastern and southern parts of Madhya Pradesh.
Since these weather systems are likely to prevail during the next 24 to 36 hours, hence, most parts of Madhya Pradesh will keep receiving light rainfall at scattered places. Also, southeast parts of Madhya Pradesh will be affected by moderate rains. After 24 hours, the rains will start decreasing from most parts of northern, western and central Madhya Pradesh.
However, extreme southern and eastern parts of the state will keep receiving light rains at scattered places due to the availability of moist conditions.
