Monsoon 2018 is all set to revive itself again during the next 24 hours. All thanks to the potential depression in Bay of Bengal. According to Skymet Weather, the system is presently seen as a low pressure area over east-central Bay of Bengal and moving in northwest direction.
In wake of this, Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring state of Chhattisgarh are also gearing for fresh spell of Monsoon rains. As the system moves inland, Chhattisgarh would start witnessing rains by tomorrow itself.
The intensity of rainfall is expected to increase gradually thereafter over the state of Chhattisgarh along with the eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh getting some light to moderate rains. There are also chances of heavy showers in few pockets of these two states.
By the evening of September 21, rainfall would start reducing over Chhattisgarh but at the same time rains will intensify over the western parts of Madhya Pradesh.
In brief, we can say that central parts of the country, particularly Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh would see moderate to heavy showers during the next two to three days.
As on September 18, both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have seen normal rains with mere deficiency of 9% and 4%, respectively. Region-wise, East Madhya Pradesh remains rain deficit by 8%, while West Madhya Pradesh to the tune of 10%.
