A Western Disturbance is moving away across Jammu and Kashmir. A cyclonic circulation now lies over North Pakistan and adjoining Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir area. This system will soon move fast towards Northeast.
During the last 24 hours, isolated rain activities were observed over hills of India, i.e. Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Before these rains, a cool yet dry condition was prevailing over most parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Now the morning temperatures have dropped over the most parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and mainly clear skies and cool nights are being observed.
In the last 24 hours maximum temperatures over Kullu remained at 26.7 ° C, Manali 19° C, Gulmarg 6° C, Leh 13.2° C while Shimla saw 20.4 ° C.
As a system is approaching tomorrow, we expect a partly cloudy to cloudy sky to persist over the area. The higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir may receive scattered light rains at a few places. Mainly dry and cool weather will prevail over the region of Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand. In Jammu and Kashmir, rain activity will increase again from October 15 as another fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect by the day.
The weekend will remain enjoyable and sunny over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
