Nagpur and Pune cities of Maharashtra are presently witnessing different Monsoon conditions. Nagpur is expected to witness good rainfall during the span of next two to four days.
According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, a cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha Coast will affect the weather over Vidarbha region including Nagpur.
Ever since the beginning of August, the city has been witnessing some good Monsoon rains of varying intensity. In span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Nagpur has recorded 2.8 mm of rain. Nagpur has already recorded 155.3 mm of rain so far in August, which is more than half of the monthly average of 276.5 mm. Due to this, people of the city are witnessing pleasant weather conditions with both maximum and minimum temperatures settling in comfortable range.
Meanwhile, Pune will only witness light showers during next 24 to 48 hours. As per Skymet, city also does not witness much rains during August. City has been witnessing very light rain for the last few days. Till August 11, Pune has recorded mere 8 mm of rain against the monthly average of 122 mm. However, due to its geographical features, city is witnessing pleasing weather with day and night temperature settling near normal range.
