A fresh spell of good Monsoon rains is all set to lash Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the next few days.
According to Skymet Weather, the fresh cyclonic circulation formed in Bay of Bengal, is now prevailing over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and west-central Bay of Bengal. With this, we can expect moderate to heavy Monsoon rains over the coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours.
The peripherals of the system will also give light to moderate rains and thundershowers over the interior parts of Rayalaseema and Telangana. The capital city, Hyderabad, is also likely to see some good spells of rains during this time.
As per weathermen, the system is likely to stay put over the present position for some time. This could lead to further intensification of the circulation, which may induce a low-pressure area during the next 24 to 48 hours.
Thereafter, the system is likely to move in westerly direction and cross the coast. In wake of this, intensity of rains over interiors parts of both the state will also increase gradually.
During the next few days, this will be one of the few regions that would record good Monsoon rains in coming days. Monsoon has been subdued over most parts of the country barring East and Northeast for the last few days.
Moreover, weathermen do not even predict any improvement in the situation during the next few days. At present, the countrywide cumulative rainfall deficiency stands at 4%.
