Mumbai rains have been playing hide and seek for the past few days. While a few days, typical Mumbai rains make an appearance, other days it is merely a few millimeters of rain. However, the last one week has been good for the commercial capital as good rains have lased Mumbai.

Just a day before, Mumbai has recorded 114 mm of rainfall in 24 hours. However, rainfall intensity decreased and a mere 15.2 mm of rainfall was recorded during the last 24 hours. Heavy Mumbai rains were missing but only for about a day.

Currently, heavy rains are being witnessed over Mumbai since early morning hours. The suburbs of the city have also been receiving good Monsoon rains. Sky conditions continue to remain overcast. During the next 24 hours, weather conditions are expected to remain the same.

These rains can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation over South Gujarat which has activated the Monsoon surge over Konkan and Goa region. These typical Mumbai rains are expected for the next 24 to 48 hours.

During the month of July, Mumbai has recorded 925.6 mm of rain against its monthly average of 799.7 mm gilding past its monthly rains. Just about ten days ago, it seemed impossible for Mumbai to be able to even get close to its monthly rains.
