Rain gods have not been excessively kind over the City of Pearls, Hyderabad in terms of precipitation. From the last few days, the city has been recording traces of light rain or no rain activity at all.

In the month of August, there were a mere couple of occasions when Hyderabad recorded good Monsoon showers. This weather situation over the capital of Telangana can be attributed to the absence of any major weather system.
The last 24 hours were also no different and the city witnessed almost dry weather due to dry northwesterly winds hovering over the area.
As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the weather conditions are likely to change as rains will show up over the Telangana capital during the next 24 to 48 hours. These showers will be attributed to a low pressure area that is expected to develop over Odisha and adjoining areas.

This system is anticipated to move towards Telangana, giving some good spells over the City of Nizams. These showers will be of light to moderate intensity. However, few heavy spells cannot be ruled out.
The weather will become comfortable due to these sporadic rains and cloudy to overcast sky. Day temperatures will settle in the high 20s or lower 30s, whereas minimums will be in lower 20s.
Till end of the month, we expect weather to remain contented as intermittent light rains will continue over Hyderabad.
Until today, Hyderabad has already witnessed 60.5 mm of rains as against its monthly target of 207 mm.
