Good Monsoon rains in sight for entire Central India

July 30, 2016 4:40 PM | Skymet Weather Team

After having a brief break from the unrelenting Monsoon rain over central India especially Madhya Pradesh, good Monsoon rains are about to make comeback over the region again. The previous rainfall did help Madhya Pradesh along with other nearby regions to get good rainfall figures and help the country entirely to reach the normal stage.

But as of now there are two weather systems that about to converge over Central India that will again give good rains.

The monsoon trough is presently running from Bikaner, Gwalior, Mirzapur, Daltonganj, Digha and then towards southeast to east-central Bay of Bengal. And an upper air cyclonic circulation over east-central Bay of Bengal is likely to form into a low pressure area in the next 48 hours.

This eastern arm of axis of Monsoon trough is expected to further come down to south and move across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha towards Bay of Bengal.

These two systems will form a low pressure area along the axis of Monsoon. Rainfall activity is likely to enhance in most parts of Telangana and adjoining Vidarbha as well.  And gradually as the system will move towards west, the rain will further spread towards Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

As of now West Madhya Pradesh is rainfall excess by 42% whereas East Madhya Pradesh is rainfall surplus by 38%. In south peninsula, Telangana has received 17% above rainfall whereas Rayalaseema is rainfall surplus by whopping 61%.

The rainfall is expected to start tomorrow onwards but the intensity will gradually increase after 24 hours.

These rains are definitely going to further increase the rainfall figures. Some areas may even face flood like situation.
