During the same time frame, many parts of southern Karnataka also recorded some good spells such as Hassan recorded a good 39 mm of rainfall, Chitradurga 22 mm, Gadag 22 mm, Mandya 17 mm, Madikeri 13 mm, Mysuru 7 mm and Mangaluru 6 mm.
In fact, most of Karnataka including its capital city has been observing good Monsoon showers since past few days. With such incessant rains, the weather has gone extremely pleasant.
These rains can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation that was over Karnataka until yesterday and the trough which was extending along the West Coast.
At present, two cyclonic circulations can be seen in close proximity to the area, one over Southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Lakshadweep region, and another over Southwest Bay of Bengal. In addition to this, an east-west trough has also formed extending between these two circulations.

Therefore, with the influence of these weather features, Monsoon rains are likely to continue lashing South Interior Karnataka including the IT city, Bengaluru. These showers are expected to be of moderate intensity.
Temperatures will remain settling below the normal levels with cloudy to overcast sky and gentle breeze blowing over the region.
Weathermen at Skymet Weather predict these showers to reduce after 24 hours with slight rise in temperatures. The weather will continue to remain pleasant, with pleasing morning and nights and comfortable days.
