Weather of south peninsula has been dry since the last 10-15 days with occasional light rain. Telangana is at present 9% rain deficiency, and during last 24 hours only scattered rainfall has been observed over the state.
In the last 24 hours, Hyderabad has received 31 mm of rains and Ramagundam has received 6 mm of rains.
And now the low pressure area which is over west-central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh coast is expected to move in a west-northwest direction towards interior Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. And we expect rain intensity to increase over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in next 2-3 days.
Moderate rain at many places with heavy rain spell at one or two places is expected as of now. This good rain spell will decrease the rain deficiency so much so that the rainfall figures may even become positive.
And these rains are very much crucial in terms of agriculture because sowing had already been placed and now the extending crops were in dire need of rains. So these rains will be beneficial.
Weather will also become pleasant due to the fall in temperature in comparison to hot sultry weather that persisted few days back.
