Mumbai rains have been on a roll for the past few days. Ever since Southwest Monsoon announced its arrival over the city of dreams, Mumbai rains have refused to take a backseat. So much so that there has not even been one day when Mumbai has not witnessed some rainfall activity.
In fact, two days ago, the city recorded a whopping 71 mm of rainfall resulting in massive flight delays. Not only this, the last 24 hours have also been rainy enough for Aamchi Mumbai and moderate showers have been witnessed over the city.
In a span fo 24 hours, Santa Cruz observatory in Mumbai witnessed a good 19 mm of rainfall. While Colaba witnessed very light rain at a mere 1 mm.

These weather conditions have been attributed to the presence of the active Monsoon surge is active over the region along with which moisture incursion has been taking place from the Arabian Sea.
Now, these weather conditions will prevail over the city of Mumbai during the next 24 hours wherein light to moderate Monsoon showers are expected over the city. However, thereafter, rainfall activity is expected to reduce over the city of dreams.

So far, during the month of June, the city of Mumbai has received 184 mm of rainfall against its monthly average of 523.1 mm of rainfall. This means that the city has barely managed to receive one-third of its rain. Hopefully, rain gods will help Mumbai witness some rains letting it surpass its monthly rain figures.
