Light to moderate rain and thundershower activities occurred over some places ofJharkhand and West Bengalduring the last 24 hours. But, places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal have been receiving continuous rains for the last many days.
However, during the last 24 hours, rains in parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal decreased, leading to an increase in temperatures over the region. While Gangetic West Bengalwas mostly dry and very warm with humid weather conditions.
At present, the low-pressure area lies over the Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining area. This weather system will be intensifying more and moving in the west/northwest direction. Hence, the incursion of moisture will be affectingWest Bengal and Jharkhand.
Moderate rain and thundershower will be occurring over extreme southern parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand. While northern parts will have light rain and thundershowers over scattered places. These weather conditions will be prevailing during the next 36 to 48 hours. The day temperature would be decreasing due to clouding and rainfall activity.
