These rains can be attributed to multiple weather systems around the region such as a cyclonic circulation is over Sri Lanka. Another circulation is lying over Lakshadweep region. In addition to this, a trough of low is running from Southwest Bay of Bengal up to South Tamil Nadu Coast.

The weathermen at Skymet Weather expect moderate rains with few heavy spells to occur over many places of Kerala in the next 24 to 48 hours. Thereafter, the rains will mark a decreasing trend over the region.

In wake of these rains, morning and nights will remain pleasant, followed with comfortable days and maximums that will settle around 31-33 degrees. During this period, cloudy to overcast sky conditions are anticipated.
