Good Delhi rains to usher in pleasant weather

Delhi rains which remained on the backseat for two or three days, have once again made a comeback and this time these rains are likely to stay for good amount of time. In fact, isolated rains were witnessed yesterday with light rains of 5 mm a day before.

Presently, the axis of Monsoon trough is moving through Anupgrah, Hisar, Bareilly, and then towards the eastern parts of the country. Also, a Western Distrurbance is over North Pakistan and adjoining Afghanistan is likely to move westwards. A cyclonic circulation is also persisting over East Rajasthan.

Now, both the axis of the Monsoon trough and the cyclonic circulation are likely to move in a northward direction.

Thus, with the combination of these weather systems, rain intensity will increase significantly. Moderate to heavy rains are likely to occur over the national capital during the next 24 to 48 hours. In fact, a good amount of rainfall activity is also expected to occur during the late evening hours of today.

These rains will result in pleasant weather conditions that were missing from Delhi-NCR for quite some time now. In fact, the maximum as well as the minimum temperatures were settling well above the normal levels. However, now with rains in offing, temperatures will witness a drop.
