The Goa region has been observing sky-high temperatures in the last few days. Yesterday, Panjim recorded the maximum which was 6 degrees above the normal levels. The maximum temperature was recorded at 38.2 degrees. Just about a couple of days ago, Goa had recorded 37.9 degrees which were the highest and yesterday, once again records have been broken over the region.

This is due to the anti cyclone which has shifted far to the south, which is prolonging the duration of the land breeze over the coastal parts including Panjim, and Goa. as soon as the sea breeze comes in, temperatures drop immediately. High temperatures are expected to persist for the next three days or so.

After three days, the rise in temperatures may be arrested and we may see some slight relief. Moreover, tourists visiting Goa will also see some relief as the present temperatures may be very frustrating for the ones visiting the beach region, especially during the afternoon hours.
