The states of West Bengal as well as Odisha have seen some showers in the past 24 hours. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, Balasore recorded 4 mm of rains, Chandbali 2 mm, Keonjhargarh 2 mm, Midnapore 1 mm.
More rains are expected over both West Bengal as well as northern parts of Odisha. Hailstorm is expected over these areas. The reason for these rains is attributed to the movement of Western Disturbance eastwards and the inflow of moist winds from the Bay of Bengal
Today, rains will be light to moderate. Tomorrow, rainfall activity is expected to be more intense and will be seen over Gangetic West Bengal and Extreme North Odisha. Baripada, Balasore in Odisha and most parts of Gangetic West Bengal. Rains will be on a reduced note day after tomorrow.
