Fresh western disturbance is likely to arrive on 27thMay over Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh tomorrow. Already persisting cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana will become more marked and cover a broader area of northern plains. These weather systems will act in tandem and make a slow passage across hills and plains of North India between 27th May and 30thMay.
The western disturbance will be quite mild as compared to the previous one, in the last week which ushered heavy rainfall across the mountains and plains as well on 21st, 22nd and 23rd May. Weather activity will be mainly confined to Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and partly over Himachal Pradesh. It will have least count for the state of Uttrakhand. Foothills of Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh may also receive light to moderate, scattered thunderstorm between 27th and 29th May. National capital Delhi can expect thunderstorm on 27th and 28th May.
Most of the weather activity will happen during late evening / night hours. Scale and spread of weather will not restrict the rise in temperature. Gradual increase in the mercury level is likely over plains for the next 4-5 days. Day temperature will exceed 40°C at many places and possibly cross 43°C at few places. However, heat wave conditions are not likely except over West Rajasthan.
