The previous Western Disturbance which had given a good amount of rain and snow has now moved away and clearance is being observed over the hilly regions. The system was the strongest of the season resulting in heavy rainfall and snow over the entire hilly region of north India and rainfall activity was also observed over the plains of north India. There is a break in between for just a very short while.
A Fresh Western Disturbance is expected to once again approach the Western Himalayas. However, this system will be a feeble one and the activity will remain confined to the hills and rain and snow may be seen between tomorrow and february 4.
The weather activities will be between light to activity and more seen over Jammu and Kashmir, followed by Himachal Pradesh with the least activity being over Uttarakhand.
After the passage of the system around February 5, a long break is expected as no system is likely for the subsequent week at least. This may result in drop in the night temperatures and an increase in the maximums over the hilly regions.
