According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the system is feeble in nature and its affect will be confined to higher reaches only. The system is not likely to cause any rain or snow over lower regions.
Plains of Northwest India including Punjab, Haryana and Delhi will also remain unaffected in terms of clouding and temperatures. According to Skymet, both maximum and minimum temperatures will neither drop nor rise due to the system.
This is the second consecutive system affecting in the week. The earlier Western Disturbance was active one and had given widespread heavy snow and rain across the hills and plains of North India.
Srinagar still remained devoid of any snow and will have to wait for another active system to witness the white cover.
Western Disturbances become frequent during winters and are responsible for affecting the weather in the region to a large extent. These systems after approaching the region usually stay for 1-2 days and give short spells of rain. The system is called Western Disturbance due to its movement from west to east.
