August 6, 2015 4:04 PM |

Cyclonic circulationA fresh weather system is brewing in North Bay of Bengal and is presently seen as an upper air cyclonic circulation. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the system has the strength to become more marked during next 48 to 72 hours.

Thereafter, it is expected to intensify into a low pressure area that will then move inland.

During the process of organising, system will be giving rain over the parts of Coastal Odisha and West Bengal region. However as the system turns into a low pressure area, it will also start affecting the weather over several places of East India.

Meanwhile, intensity of rain will reduce over Northeastern states with change in wind pattern from southerlies to easterlies.

The system will also be responsible for pulling the Monsoon trough back to its normal position. At present, the western arm of the Monsoon trough is shifting close to the foothills of Himalayas. While the eastern arm is already running though the foothills of Northeast India.

This is the first weather system in the month of August. These systems hold great relevance as they influence the Monsoon surge. With the system gaining strength, we expect another good spell of rain approaching Indian subcontinent.
