Most parts of Northwest India witnessed widespread rain and thunder showers during second half of March. April also started on a rainy note but all is not yet over. A fresh Western disturbance is approaching Western Himalayas and an induced cyclonic circulation will develop over central Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab and Northwest Rajasthan.
Light scattered rain and thunderstorm is possible over many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, and parts of West Uttar Pradesh today. There may be isolated activities over parts of north Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana which may further damage the standing crops. Light isolated rain make continue over North Punjab, North Haryana, and parts of West Uttar Pradesh on April 4 as well. Weather will start clearing up over all these States from April 5th.
Temperatures will once again start increasing but we do not expect heat wave anytime soon. As the moisture is available in the atmosphere and temperature will be increasing therefore isolated thunderstorm activities cannot be ruled out during afternoon and evening hours.
