It seems that rain and snow have refused to take a back seat this season. After brief respite, another spell of rain and snow is now approaching hills of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Famous tourist destinations of Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Shimla, Kullu and Manali are also gearing up for more snow.
In fact, the weather has already become cloudy and day temperatures have taken a dip. According to Skymet Weather, light rain and snow will commence over hilly region by Tuesday evening or night itself.
All thanks to a fresh Western Disturbance which is approaching Western Himalayas. At present, the system is marked over North Pakistan and adjoining areas. It is likely to move in east direction towards Jammu and Kashmir.
The intensity is likely to pick up pace in subsequent few hours and by Wednesday, we can expect scattered light to moderate rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
However, the system is moving at a very fast pace and thus, it is likely to clear away the region in a very short span of time. As a result, rain and snow activity will also not last for very long.
Weathermen predict that this spell of rain and snow will last only for 24 to 36 hours across the hilly states.
