These rains can be attributed to the trough, which is running from the cyclonic circulation prevailing over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar region till Tamil Nadu across Odisha and Andhra Pradesh coast.
According to Skymet Weather, rains are likely to continue for another 48 hours but with reduced intensity.
Weather over Hyderabad had been mostly dry and humid for the last many days but on and off traces had been making appearances at regular intervals. We saw increase in rains during yesterday, with the city recording 18 mm of rain in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday.
So far in August, the city has recorded mere 19 mm of rains, which is way behind its average monthly rainfall of 207 mm.
