Due to the formation of the low, the Monsoon trough which usually has a tendency of shifting towards the foothills of Himalayas, is expected to be pulled back. Due to this, eastern parts of the country who have remained rain deficient for a long time are expected to receive some good rains.

Rains have been occurring over the states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bihar for the last few days and with the arrival of a fresh low pressure area, rainfall activity is expected to witness an increase in the coming days. These rains may result in the reduction of rainfall deficiency over these areas.
