Monsoon leaves no stone unturned to show its vigorous side this time around. Especially, along the foothills of the Himalayas in regions of Uttar Pradesh witnessed heavy to very heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours.
Parts of West Uttar Pradesh witnessed the actual heavy mar of Monsoon. Places like Baraich, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Deora, Maharajgunj, Gonda, Siddarthanagar were such locations that received there rainfall.
In the last 24 hours Bareilly has received the maximum 112 mm of rainfall.
The rain belt across the foothills is expected to skid away from Northeast India to Uttar Pradesh. So the relentless rainfall will abate the Northeast India as of now. This movement will provide the foothills of Uttar Pradesh with some more heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24-48 hours.
Places like Rampur that were already flooding due to excess Monsoon rains will get further worsen due to more rainfall in sight.
Parts of Uttarakhand, Tehri in particular witnessed the mar of these rains. In the last week, due to these excessive rains at least 25 people have lost their lives in accidents across the state. The situation is likely to depreciate for Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. But landslides cannot be ruled out over several parts of the state.
