Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, both being in close vicinity to the coast witnesses variations in the weather conditions. The interior parts of both mentioned states observe the winter chill, while the coastal stations witnesses mild weather conditions.
In fact, as on January 27, few stations in Odisha are witnessing below normal minimum temperatures by 3 to 6 degrees such as Angul 10.6°C, Jharsuguda 9°C, Phulbani 5.5°C, and Sambalpur 10.3°C.

Now, a feeble anti-cyclonic circulation is seen lying in the lower levels over coastal parts of Odisha. This weather system has been providing moisture over the region from the Arabian Sea.
However, the western parts of Odisha have been affected by the cold winds that are reaching the region from the north. Therefore, moderate to dense fog will affect Coastal Odisha as well as North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
As per Skymet Weather, similar weather conditions will persist over the region during the next 48 hours. In general, dry weather will prevail over both the stated regions. Sky would remain partly cloudy.
Talking about temperature profile, maximum temperatures over coastal parts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh will range between 28-29 degrees Celsius. While, the minimum temperatures in Coastal Odisha are anticipated to settle near 15-16 degrees Celsius, and in Coastal Andhra Pradesh to hover around 16-18 degrees Celsius.
