It seems that winters have already set in over the northwestern plains of India, as the nip in the air can be felt during the morning and night hours.
Most places of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh have been witnessing moderate to dense fog during the morning hours.

This weather condition could be attributed to drop in minimum temperatures that have been settling between 10°C-14°C over the aforementioned places. Besides this, the winds continue to be light and calm in nature.
As per weathermen, an active Western Disturbance is likely to approach the Western Himalayas around November 13. In wake of this, the fog will continue over the northwestern plains. However, with the moisture present in the air, the fog will persist but with a reduced intensity during the morning hours.
During this period, the temperatures will also increase marginally. Smoke haze conditions will continue over the plains of North India, particularly Delhi and NCR. This smoke haze and air toxins may reduce after the passage of Western Disturbance.
As for tomorrow, shallow to moderate fog will persist over some places of northwestern plains. Around November 14 to 16, the fog may disperse as we are expecting first spell of winter rains over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.
