As the Western Disturbance moved away, fog once again made a comeback in North India, however it was not widespread. Delhi witnessed dense fog at Palam Airport and Vikas Puri as the visibility dropped to 100 meters. While rest of the places including NCR region remained fog free.

Amritsar too experienced very dense fog with visibility recording a mere 50 meters. In Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow saw the visibility drop to100 meters, while in  Jaipur it was 300 meters.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, there is change in the wind pattern as the system moves away. However, winds could change completely due to another weather system following shortly, thus fog was not widespread and remained location specific.

Fog in East India

Eastern parts of the country  continued to remain devoid of any fog on Saturday morning. Good visibility conditions were reported at Patna and Varanasi at 1000 meters, Gaya 1300 meters and Ranchi 1500 meters.

Apart from Western Disturbance, another system of cyclonic circulation has also affected the region and this is the reason behind the absence of the fog from East India.
