The winter months of December and January are the peak foggy months for Delhi and NCR. Thereafter, both the intensity and frequency of fog sharply declines during the month of February.
This season, dense to very dense fog days remained far and few over the national capital region and its adjoining boundaries such as over Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad. In fact, dense to very dense fog that was witnessed, was mostly in pockets only. There were only one or two occasions when Delhi was under widespread dense fog layer.
Moreover, the last week was a fog-free week for Delhi and NCR. The last thick blanket of fog that the city and its surrounding areas were blanketed under was on January 29, which was again in pockets, as recorded by the Palam Observatory.

In fact, February has been a pleasant month for Delhi and NCR so far. Fog has remained absent from occurring over the national capital region and its adjoining areas until now. Though the city witnessed hazy morning, the visibility has remained good and above 1000 meters.

As per the weathermen at Skymet Weather, as of now, Delhi may witness light wind speed, cloud cover may appear, thickening at times for the next two days. This would further result in the rise of the night temperatures.
Thus, due to cloud cover, the light speed of winds and absence of any rain giving significant weather system, Delhi and NCR would continue to witness similar weather conditions. The daytime highs are anticipated to remain pleasant and in low-20’s.
However, a marginal rise in the night temperatures can be expected and the minimums may reach the double-digit figure in the next few days. Although, rain is not predicted for this week. Fog is also not expected to make a comeback as of now.
