With just a flavour of winter chill during early morning hours, few places in North and East India started experiencing fog since the beginning of November.
The most feared element of winter, fog, is generally a phenomenon which occurs in early morning and late evening hours. Fog in Delhi and North India is the most common feature of the winter season which leads to massive delays and cancellations of flights and trains.
Fog has not disrupted air, road or rail traffic yet as the airfields we have in India today, are well equipped. Moreover, fog is generally short-lived and arises only during sunrise. However, we are going to enter the month of December in few days and fog will now grow in both space and time.
