As forecast earlier by Skymet, multiple cities in southern Pakistan are all set to receive heavy rain beginning today. At present, a Western Disturbance is impacting West of Pakistan inducing weather over the neighbouring country Iran.
At present, Iran which lies to the West of Pakistan is receiving rains under theeffect of the Western Disturbance. Soon, the system will track eastwards bringing along heavy rains for Pakistan. Already the southern states of Pakistan are seeing dense clouding which will soon convert to heavy rains beginning later today.
Moderate to heavy rains will be seen in several southern cities like Karachi, Gwadar, Turbat, Kotri, Khuzdar, Dadu and Pasni. Rains with the same intensity are likely until tomorrow. A few regions might even see flooding rains. A clearance from this weather is likely over the region after 48 hours.
Usually, the effect of the Western Disturbance is felt only in the Northern and Central parts of Pakistan. However, on a few occasions, the system manages to track a little southward than usual, which is exactly the case this time.
Meanwhile, the Indian regions of West Rajasthan and multiple parts of Gujarat including Saurashtra and Kutch might be the next on the radar after inducing weather over Pakistan.
