The state of Madhya Pradesh has been facing a massive flood situation. Heavy rains have been lashing the entire state for the past three to four days. Three digit rains have become a common feature over the state and several cities have been receiving as much as 280 mm of rain.

In fact, Bhopal which is also reeling under floods has received a whopping 111 mm of rain in a span of 6 hours between 5:30 am and 11:30 am. These rains can be attributed to the low pressure area which is hovering over the state.

Currently, the weather system has moved westwards and has also given good rains over Southeast Rajasthan. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Kota recorded a good 63 mm of rain and Bundi received 53 mm rainfall.

The weather system is expected to give more rains over the above mentioned areas of Southeast Rajasthan and a few nearby districts. These rains are likely to continue during the next 24 to 48 hours. Due to these weather conditions, some parts of Rajasthan may also witness flooding rains.
