Both the states of Gujarat as well as Rajasthan did witness one of the worst floods in a long time. Scores were killed in these floods and normal life did come to a standstill for quite some time. So much so that the relief was sent from all across over these areas. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced relief worth 2000 crore for ones affected in Gujarat floods.
However, now rains have taken a backseat over both the states of Rajasthan as well as Gujarat. But, scattered light rains continue over these areas.

Now, the winds over these areas have become westerly in nature over most areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Thus, we expect dry weather conditions over entire Rajasthan and Gujarat till August 6. Meanwhile, on August 7, some parts of Gujarat region and East Rajasthan may receive light rains.

During this time, places like Ahmedabad, Varodara, Patan in Gujarat and Jaipur, Ajmer, and Bharatpur in Rajasthan will witness some rains.
On August 8 and 9, many areas of Rajasthan are expected to witness light to moderate rains. Rainfall activity may also increase over Gujarat region. However, intensity of these rains over the state of Gujarat will be comparatively less as compared to the state of Rajasthan.
