The average maximum for Bengaluru in March stands at 33 degrees while the minimum hovers around 19 and 20 degree Celsius. On March 11, the maximum in Bengaluru reached up to 35.2 degree Celsius. Though rain has brought down the temperature to near normal.

Presently, an offshore trough is extending along the coast from Kerala to Konkan, Goa, and Mumbai. In the next few days, the oscillation of the trough will take place which will shift inside across the Southern Peninsula.

Bengaluru received 13 mm of rain on Tuesday and 7 mm on Wednesday that caused traffic disruption, tree falls and waterlogging in Whitefield, HSR Layout and nearby localities. Light pre-monsoon showers are expected today afternoon and tomorrow morning as well.
