Whereas other parts have witnessed some good rainfall activity during the same time frame. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, Banihal recorded 9 mm of rain, Qazi Gund 3 mm, Una 1 mm and traces of rainfall over Srinagar.
These weather conditions have been attributed to the presence of a Western Disturbance which is currently lying over Jammu and Kashmir and is moving away from the Indian region.
However, another Western Disturbance is approaching the Western Himalayas and is currently lying over East Afghanistan and adjoining areas. Thus, light rain and snow will continue over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and isolated pockets of Uttarakhand until November 18.
Due to this temperatures will witness a significant drop over the hills of North India. Not only this, due to these weather conditions, temperatures in the plains of North India will also witness a significant drop.
